Orchestral Vacancies

Sinfonia Borealis is currently looking for talented, passionate and committed musician to join its ranks as an orchestral tutti musician on any instrument.

We are dedicated to delivering concerts of the very highest standards to meet the expectations of our audiences, and this is only possible when we have the very best musicians working with us. We are looking to appoint a number of gifted musicians to tutti positions within the orchestra, with the possibility of promotion to sub-principal and principal roles in the future.

Our orchestral musicians come from many backgrounds, and are at many stages in their orchestral career, from just starting out in Britain’s top youth orchestras to embarking on their professional career. Regardless of where you are currently at, Sinfonia Borealis recruits based on talent and potential, so we would love to receive an application from you.

The application involves answering a few short questions and submitting a video of your playing, which will then be reviewed by our panel. If we like what we hear (and I’m sure we will), you’ll be invited to an interview with a few members of our team, in which we’ll have a chance to discuss your application with you, and you’ll also have to perform

Should you be interested in performing with us, you are welcome to submit an application via this form. If you know somebody that might be interested in applying, please share it with them.

We are committed to providing equal opportunities for all. If you have a disability or any other requirements, please send an email to our Recruitment team outlining how we can help, and we will be happy to make necessary adjustments for you. Should you be successful, we will continue to support you with whatever you need (including the special preparation of sheet music for persons with a visual impairment).

We look forward to receiving your application!

Best wishes,

Joshua Quinlan
Artistic Director & Principal Conductor
(on behalf of the Sinfonia Borealis Artistic Committee)
