Join Sinfonia Borealis, a brand new young-professional orchestra, in their debut performance at Southport’s Holy Trinity Church, featuring conductor Joshua Quinlan and violinist Xander Croft. The orchestra will perform Beethoven’s First Symphony, along with Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto and the tremendously exciting “Romanian Folk Dances” by Hungarian composer Béla Bartók.
Sinfonia Borealis is made up of some of the most promising young orchestral musicians in the country, drawn from Britain’s top conservatoires and youth orchestras, in addition to other professional orchestras in the region. The orchestra promises to deliver a performance filled with the excitement that you would expect from a top youth orchestra, while achieving the technical standard of a seasoned professional orchestra.
