Sinfonia Borealis is very pleased to announce its second concert of the 2019/20 season: “Scheherazade”. This programme features some of the most sublime and well-written music to have been composed and is sure to be an incredible experience not to be missed.

Alinka Rowe, accompanied by Joshua Quinlan and the orchestra, performs Daniel Hogan’s outstanding “Concerto for Viola and Orchestra”, a relatively new piece that was premiered in July 2018 by the Watford Youth Sinfonia, our close friends from the South. Published by Apollo Edition, one of our partners for this performance, the concerto promises to be a journey of emotions, from the gentle beginning, to the energetic Scherzo, finishing with a beautiful “Reflection”.

This concert is produced in partnership with Salford Cathedral, the Diocese of Salford and Apollo Edition
